Just had my crankshaft repaired in my 89 Toyota Pickup but it was idle under a tree about a year before that. I got it back and it ran smooth for a couple of weeks until it started shaking and running rough while idling and accelerating. Any thoughts?

does your "Service Engine Soon" light come up? If it does get a repair man to read the code.
Have you driven the car for about 150,000Km? then it could very well be that one or two of your spark plugs have stopped firing. You need to get that spark plug replaced. Remember, when replacing spark plugs, it is adviced that you should replace all of them at once.

It sounds like you may have a problem feeding the fuel to your engine, I had the same problem with my 89 RS. All the 1989 model's fuel systems were recalled. I think you may need a new fuel pump. The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank in the rear of the car right under the rear axle. The fuel pump itself isn't too expensive, but with other small parts such as the electrical harness upgrade and fuel filter and the labor you should be looking somewhere in the $500 range. I hope this helps.

it could be a motor mount check the condition of it or it can be that something with the suspension might need attention . . those things can cause vibration at certain speeds
