Check power to the antena with the stereo on. If power is available, then change the antena motor.

1987 560 SL, how to trouble shoot the power antenae and toggle switch on dash. Antenae motor wont run at all.

Hirschman antenna are jerks when they get old. Pull it, then pull it apart and see if the plastic band that turns the motor is broke, or if the tabs on the big plastic wheel are snapped off. Over at benzworld.org is some links to hirschman guy who can get parts kits for repairs.

Unplug the motor. I had a Riviera that had the same problem, I got in the fender well and unplugged. Yours is probably in the back. There should be a panel to get access to it.

Unlock door of 2004 cavalier without key

If know power locks...You need to remove your antena and use something to pry the door open a little then slip the antena in the sill and position the fat in just inside the lock button and pry back towards the trunk...Place some downward force as well.....Ive done this successfully in my cavy plenty of times;) if you have power locks...do the same except use the skinny end to push the unlock button....

I have a '98 4Runner and I want to disconnect the power antenna.

turn on the stereo so the antena will come up and where the antena goes in to the fender u will have to go under the hood and look through one of the holes in the inner fender to see the antena motor or u can take the plastic inner fender off from inside of the wheel well to get to antena motor then when u can get to the motor u will see a black fairley large wire wich is the antena wire it self and u should see one more small wire just unplug small wire or clip with wire cutters and tape the ends off with electricle tape as so it wont arc out any where

1985 ZX300 power antena problem. When the radio is turned on the antena goes down and when it is shut off the antena goes up. Al factory parts, radio, antena and all switches. Any ideas what would cause...

im guessing the antenna has been replaced and wires were mixed up. take the rear panel off in the trunk to give access to the antenna motor and look at the wiring there should be 2 small wires and one larger black wire. the black wire is the reception wire the other two are the power wires. switch the positions on the two power wires. say wire A is in plug 1 and wire B is in plug 2. final position should be A in 2 and B in 1. that should take care of it. good luck

The antena won't go down when car is off and the

a plastic tape runs the ant. up and down via a motor that sits behind the carpet in your trunk. the tape is broke or in a bind. most cases in broke. if you want to fix it short of buying a new/used ant. assm. pull back carpet and while ant is in the up position disconnect the motor wire so it doesnt run constant. it wont go down when car is off but the motor wont run either. but those are your two choices.

Disconnect power antena

I just removed the motor for the power antena and pulled a regular one from a junk yard. Very simple brackets, a couple of bolts each. With the cable, it is just a coaxial like your tv cable from the cable company, I just split it and put the same connector as I would the tv cable on each end, then I put a double female connector in the middle.
Hope that's clear enough.
have fun with it.
