I have the same problem. it just wont start one morning. can you please help me in case you have solved your problem already.

first thing first does the radiator fan work properly if it does you move to the thermostat has it ever been changed take it off and put it in boiling water to see if it opens if it does check the water pump see if it has any build

This light is to advise you that it is due for replacement. If its been done earlier the interval may not have been reset. Any dealer or someone with vehicle diagnostics gear should be able to reset it.

Make sure the vacuum hose is attached to the actuator, try getting a diagnostic code from the cruise control system
the instructions can be downloaded by doing a google search.
What is the valve adjustments and method for 4runner v6?
The valve clearance is 0.009"-0.12" for intake valves
0.11"-0.15" for the exhaust valves
The adjustments are made using different thickness shims below each cam lobe, special tools are needed.
The ticking noise can also be caused by a broken valve spring. These engines usually have oil pressure of about 10-20 psi at idle.

you arent running valvoline or pensoil are you if you are dump them put castrol 10 w -30w in motor if you still have smoke check your pcv valve truth of the posibility it might just be worn out im talking about light blue oil with regular oil you dont want a high milliage nissan as they basically cannot be rebuilt economically to much work engine swaps ? difficult at best

Hello, there is a coolant transfer pipe under the intake manifold, it connects to the front of the block under the manifold and exits at the rear between the heads where two hoses are attached for the heater and one for the throttle body, one of these may be leaking, in some cases the transfer pipe is rusted and starts to leak filling up the chamber between the heads until it leaks out at the back.
Clicking noise under dash
Could be one of the heater door actuator doors stripping its gears. Do all of the vents work and does the temperature change correctly?
