Why would a 2003 Chevy Impala's speakers not work? The radio and CD player work, but I get no sound what so ever. The car was bought used in 2009 and the radio has never worked. I was told that something needed to be reset at a Chevy dealership. Can anyone please help me ? Thank you in advance, Alena

This may be a anti-theft issue. If it is and you want it fixed, the Chevy Dealter is probably the best place to have this work done, IF it can be done at all. My Chevy radio instructions tell me that if there is a genuine power loss to the radio when the anti theft system is activated (like someone breaking into the car and stealing it, cutting the wires) that the radio will not work again with out GM intervention.

I purchased a used Jensen UV10 from a friend and installed it in a 97 eclipse spyder. I recently bought a 2003 chevy silverado 1500hd LX, and took out the aftermarket JVC cd player to install my Jensen....

Depending on the model, the Silverado may have an amplifier between the OEM radio and the speakers. If that is the case, you will have to remove it and wire directly to the speakers. Check the wiring schematics for the original truck radio option (one source is Alldatadiy.com).

Can i take a radio out of a 2003 chevy pu with cd player and install it in 2000 chevy impala without cd player without any additional wiring harness

You would have to find out, how to get it to work.
Every GM Radio has a code ,so it can not be used in
another vehicle, if stolen.

I don't know when that started, and if a dealer
could answer that work around,I would ask a tech

Go into the service bay from outside some day and ask

On a 2003 chevy impala is it ok to replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket cd player even with the security feature?

Yes it is, the security feature on the radio is just for the radio itself. You may also be able to find a used factory CD stereo for the car fairly cheap on ebay.

Does the radio speakers in a 2003 chevy impala have a separate fuse

speakers do not have a fuse. the radio will have a fuse, and if there's an external amplifier, it will have a fuse.

Radio works (tuner, volume control, cd) but no sound

If your radio looks to be working and no sound, open trunk and mounted underneath the deck lid you will see your amp or sound booster. It should have two plugs that plug into it. Unplug the one with two orange wires and with the car switch turned on, check to see if the two orange wires have power on them. If they don't get ready to take out the rear interior and underneath the rear carpet almost at the front seat you will see a big plastic sleeve full of wires on the passenger side. Inside this sleeve there will be one orange wire branching into two orange wires, check to see if it is corroded. That would be where I start.

2002 Chevy Impala Radio Doesn't Work

Check the radio fuse? Box is drivers side end of dash(drivers door open)or pass side end of dash(passenger door open)
police models have a connection for the speakers (passenger floorboard under floor mat) to connect the speakers to the police radios.
If they had the speakers connected to their radios, they may have unhooked them and not connected them back to the radio.
The wires are brown, grey, blue and light blue. All into a blue connector.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer radio and CD player works, but no sound

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..
