You must have a fuel leak, and even a very small leak will smell and can be dangerous. Find and fix the leak!

Strong smell of gas when you start car only when the heater fan is running

I would check the computer for trouble codes first.
The gas smell can be something leaking around or on the engine, the heater pulls air into the cabin from the engine compartment.

Vehicle smells like natural gas after stopping when vehicle is hot

I think you are getting a rotten egg smell, not natural gas. I would check for exhaust leaks from the catalytic converter for starters. Have you checked the grill at the base of the windshield and on top of the firewall? folks have been known to drop eggs down there as a prank.

GAS SMELL WHEN HEATER IS ON WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM

Usually means there is a fuel leak in the engine compartment, and the heater is pulling the fumes into the car thru the vents under the windshield.

I only get 15 miles on a gallon of gas, when I try to speed up the car starts jerking and If I puch on the exsalrater it wont speed up and I can smell gas. If I have the heater on it's much worse

If you smell the gas I would have it checked you may be dumping to much fuel into the carburetor or may have a fuel leak which can cause a fire.

I am smelling gas when the heater is on really bad and smell gas when the heater is off, checked Oxygen censor, checked all plugs for black soot, checked tail pipe for black soot and also had a half tank...

You have to have a leak somewhere. Put a large pc of cardboard under your car overnight. In the morning take notice of where the stain is on the cardboard.

Gas Smell when heater turned on

When the heater is turned on, it is drawing in air from the cowl at the bottom of the windshield outside the car. If your smelling gas when you turn it on, it would suggest to me that there may be a fuel leak under the hood. A lot of Honda's have the fuel filter under the hood against the firewall. Open the hood, and see if the gas smell is any stronger, or any gas smell at all for that matter. I would strongly recommend getting the car checked as soon as possible, if you can find the source of the smell yourself.

Car has gas smell when heater is on

my question is do you smell gas when outside the vehicle? chances are it is pulling "fresh air" from outside the vehicle and might be pulling vapors due to thew fact you have a gas leak under the hood. check your engine while running and if a gas leak is seen. turn it off imediately and repair it. do not drive it until then. happy holidays

99 dodge dakota has gas smell in cab when heater or ac is on

sounds like you need to look through the engine bay and see if your fuel lines are wet anywhere!! There might be a possibilty that you have a leak around the gas tank so jus crawl under the trunk and look to see if it has any kind of wetness around the tank or hoses coming out of the tank!!
