My sister has a 1999 pontiac grand am se 2 door the clips are broke in both windows does anyone know where i can get a door diagram so i can fix this problem i really need something to show me how to fix this problem thank you for your time

If all of those are blown, you are in for a whole lot of heartache! Cigarette lighter overloaded, easy fix. Blower motor, probably the resistor, fairly easy fix if you can get to it. Windows, relays, or if only on drivers side, broken wires where door meets frame.

Check your fuses. I belive the radio fuse is on the passenger side of of dash where it meets the door.

Depending on the car pull the door panel off and some have a bolt to move the track and pretty easy going after that depending on what one is broke

what I would recommend is that you will have to test the window actuator first. You will need to remove the door panel to get at the actuator. From there, just jump the actuator to see if the window goes up or down. Don't worry about which terminal is positive or negative, they are switched back and forth by the control switches.

i have the same problem on my 1995 grand prix gtp 2 door coupe...the only differnce is that i had door poppers installed and took off the lock rod, turnes out the solenionds cant pull the latch open, so i need stronger solenoids. but my door wont open either...if anyone has any fixes to this problem let me knows ASAP!! i cant crawl thru the passenger side in the middle of a S. Dak. winter...

either window in my 1996 pontiac grand am will roll up or down properly the fromt of the window seems to drop. there is no hole for a window clip to hold the window on track. do you have any suggestions? please help.

Unless the motors were replaced at one time, the only bolts holding the window to the regulator are at the slides. any hardware that fell apart should be inside the bottom of the door. Panel removal is pretty simple..only hidden fastener is on the edge...small reflector has one under there.
Haynes makes a good reference for that car for about $20.

As far as I know you can not put the window back on the track.
I had my window lift system break on the passenger side. I had to replace the entire motor and regulator system. It is really simple once you get the door panel off, which is held on by 3 screws - all of which are hidden, one behind the window and door switch.
Anyway, there are 2 plastic clips that connect the window to the lift, they are very fragil and once broken the window will fall down into the door. I was told by 2 different auto shops that you can not get "only the clips", and have to replace the entire system.
