I have a 2005 ford expidition. The rear wiper arm does not move. if i open the rear window the motor runs. The wiper arm seems to be stuck or seized. How can I fix this
Re: i have a 2005 ford expidition. The rear wiper arm
The motor is probably shot. if you can hear it run and nothing happens, you can eliminate a power issue. U r better off going to a junk yard(they will pull it for you) and replace it. Its pretty simple. Hope it helps

Open the rear window and push the arm past its usual position against the window. It may restore the the tension. However, You likely need a new wiper arm, you could also try lubricating the pivot point.
the ball joint may have snapped inside so the motor is no longer attached to the arm, has it been used in freezing conditions? often they snap this way, also the ball joint may have just popped off, you will ned to open it up, they are fairly straight forward so the problem would be obvious once open.

I have a 2002. I thought this problem got fixed before 2005. I couldn't get my arm off because of internal corrosion. I took the wiper blade off to get a little more swing with the arm. I oiled and swung the arm to get it loosened up. Then I bent the arm towards the glass to get more spring pressure and reattached the blade. That will work for a little while. You can get a new arm from Autozone #42536 for $28 plus shipping.
no problem, you need to find the base of the wiper arm where it connects to your window.lift up a plastic flip piece that covers a 13mm nut, loosen the nut just a little bit them move arm where the it should be"in the stop position". and re-tighten nut tight.
Lift the windshield wiper pivot arm to the full upright position.
Remove the windshield wiper pivot arm.
Release the locking tab.
Remove the windshield wiper pivot arm.
NOTE: During installation, it is necessary to pull the locking tab out to its full open (unlatched) position and hold while assembling the pivot arm onto the mounting arm and pivot shaft. Align the key on the pivot arm head with the keyway on the shafts. This will make sure the pivot arm is correctly aligned. If necessary, the key can be removed. To adjust wiper pivot arms, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment in this section. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
