Look under the hood at the master cylinder. If you see only two hydraulic lines coming out of one side or the other, it's NON-ABS.
ABS master cylinder has several....
Or you COULD get into a deserted parking lot, get to aprox 30mph, jam and hold the brake pedal and see if it "vibrates" or "pulsates"

Probably a really simple question, but on a Mercury Mystique 1997 (manufactured 1996) brake master cylinder (with ABS), which port, front or rear, leads to the front wheel section of the ABS module?

Off the master cylinder. The front tube controls the rear brakes. And the back one controls the front brakes. Just a note. I don't know which year they started doing this, but, the front right brake goes/ties in to the left rear brakes. left front to right rear. This set up runs off the ABS module to the brakes.

How to replace a 1998 dodge dakota sport abs sensor

The front ABS sensors are built into the hub assemblies and the rear is mounted in the top of the rear differential. One would need to know where the fault is at before just replacing the sensors.
The rear one is relatively easy to replace aand the front ones require front hub assembly r&r.

Trying to figure out how to bleed abs block on 2000 chevy silverado 1500

I am in the UK, so do not know this model, but I am a Bosch service tech and can tell you, if you have air in the ABS unit itself, you well need to connect to diagnostic tool with bleeding/venting program on it. The ABS pump needs to run and operate the solenoids to get the air out...

Does a 2003 toyota corolla has ABS on front and rear or none?

ABS was optional on S and LE models. Don't know if it is 4 wheel or not. You could count the lines coming out of the ABS pump if the car has one.

The ABS is only working on the rear and not the front. could the sensor be bad or maybe another electrical problem?

Does this van have 4wheel abs or just rear, if there was a problem with the abs then the abs light would be on, if the light is on then have the abs computer scanned for codes, the codes will tell you where the problem is,

My light abs is lit what is it

This may be caused by a bad wheel speed sensor or the speed sensor in the rear difff, the best way to know is to have the computer scanned for abs codes, these codes will tell you where the problem is, for example it may say code p**** left front speed sensor, go to an auto zone parts store they will scan it for free.hope this helps.

1996 dodge ram 3500, abs brakes are locking up

is it the front or rear locking up? you really have to have this truck loaded (load valve under bed) before the back brakes come on and i think these are the same as my 1999 2500 where the rear is only abs, and not on the front..dumb design i know, but thats how it is...determining if its rear abs only and which axle is locking up will help pin point the problem...i put 100000 miles on my dodge since i got it in 2001 and i put 8 sets of pads on the front and just changed the rear lining and thats only because the rear wheel cylinder was leaking causing the rear brakes to lock up..
