2000 dodge caravan began stalling at stop and now will not start at all..battery has full charge when tested

Have the battery tested

If it is worn out & won't hold a
charge--- replace it

Then test the charging system

have a load test done on the battery to check for a bad cell

If it does not charge battery test charge system basics, voltage is regulated through PCM

sounds like an electrical issue check your connections at your battery all cables for corrosion as well as your charging system for proper charge to the battery

Your description makes me believe that your alternator is faulty. The system not charging turns the battery light on. The van will not start because the battery is discharged from powering the electronics that should have been powered by the alternator. Start by charging the battery to a full charge, and then test or have the alternator tested.

It sounds like you battery is just about run down. If the dash lights nearly die when you turn the key to start, the battery is definitely suspect. Have the acid SG checked and get the battery charged. If it does not hold the charge, the battery must be replaced.

does it click when engine is running if not it was just lack of battery voltage making relay click

have your idle air control solenoid cleaned out!

No preferences as to charger, as long as it has trickle charge option (slower, but better for battery). Would like to see battery load test done by parts store to see battery condition, but a simple charge may be it. Let me know how it goes, hopefully you will have it up and running soon.
