Thermostat location is a poor design. Follow the bottom rad hose back to the engine. You see the flange and black plastic housing it's part of ?? that whole flange has to come off and the therm is back there. not a fun place.

The fuse box on 2003 VW Passat V6 is placed on the driver's lateral side of the dashboard, door open. See pictures below:

What fuse amp and what fuse number go to 1998 vw passat v6 Into the cigarettes lighter and the one in the trunk All 12 volt spots

For 1998 VW Passat V6 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
The cigarette lighter fuse for 1998 VW Passat V6 is placed in the fuse box / relay plate fascia 1, (driver's door open). See pictures below:

Fuse no.# 33 - F33 (15 Amp.) = Cigarette lighter

1999 vw passat 2.8 v6 speedo not working. trip

most of the older cars have a cable driven speedo but newer cars are elecitronic it could be the little motor behined the gages or the wiring going down to the tranny check the cheepest first
