I need a print out or a diagram on a powersteering pump for a 93 chevy 1500 with a 5.7 litre engine. the filter and spring came out and i dont know wich way they go back in. flat end of the valve or filter end first then spring??

You could have a bad fuel pump have somebody to crank the engine and check bleader valve in the engine see if fuel comes out of it.

if you are having fuel pumo problems, its most likely the fuel pump

should be by the crankshaft pulley front bottom of engine

I had the same thing happen. In the end it was the mechanism that attached from the pump to the lines there was a little metal piece with a spring that im guessing kept getting stuck

do you check the egr valve or the selenoid ........ look with the engine runing pull the trotle cable to rev the engine check the diagram from the egr valve is going to move at all times and the engine is going to missfire ........ then desconect the little hose from the egr selenoid rev the engine 2000 rpm you will see the diference

yes indeed it is going to! but first check the fuel filter for blockage

MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT OIL

small end of valve goes in first then spring might also be hydro lock jack front wheels off ground Carefull level surface wheels blocked car supported then fill pump with fluid turn wheels left & right to full stops couple of time with eng off to purge air ck fluid again then see if pump works

fuel pump is on the engine or either in the gastank follow the fuel line chevys are the easiest auto to work on a new i think yours is in your tank remove both straps and remove hose to filler neck. the fuel **** is in the center of th tank removed by a lock washer system holding the pump in also be careful that you follow the fuel lines though and that you remove bolts that hold the fuel ine to the frame and up to the engine or fuel filter then engine an up to the carb that way you can lower tank without bending fuel line any way however you took it off put it back if a human put this thing together then a human can fix it

before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.
