I was driving about 45 mph. and the car just lost pwer, oil light came on too , and now it just turns over berfly wont start. what do u think oil pump?

Do you have a down shift cable on it,,,,,,check it`s adjustment.

Check Mass Air Flow sensor.

If the car is an automatic change the gearbox oil .

2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, 3.4L, 4 door, 2WD, automatic transmission overdrive problem. It's not shifting to overdrive, overdrive button on shifter does not turn light on - on dash. Mileage is 115,xxx.

It sounds like you have the wrong thermostat installed in your car. You need to get the water to the block quicker then what it's doing now. Always check oil every time before driving. This is a must on older cars. Some Mechanics differ, but in the long run it will pay off. An oil spot beneith the car might be bolts that need to be tighten on the oil pan, of you may have a bad oil sending unit. Also ehck power steering pump fluid level and make sure there is not a leak there.

At 45 or 50 is the engine RPM normal? If its higher that it should be transmission could be slipping.
If the engine is misfiring at 45 or 50 it could be the spark plugs.
If its just holding back on power it could be catylitic convertor, or possibly fuel filter.
