Get the right gas to use and charge it to suction and pressure pressures on gauges
if you need to charge it , fix the leak first
better still get a professional ac specialist shop to do the job properly

SOURCE: air condition blows hot air but it has freon

You may have created an over charged condition and at this point the a/c compressor will cut off on high head pressures. This can be verified by installing gauges to the systems high and low side service taps and reading the pressures. An overcharged system will start the compressor briefly but soon cuts off once pressure goes to 350 - 400 lbs on the high side. Acceptable pressures for this system should be no greater than 250 high and low suction should drop to 40-50 psi.You might recover the charge and evacuate the system, then try bringing the charge back to proper level.A sight glass in the reciever drier really helps determining proper fill.Once all bubbles have dissipated from the sight glass during charging ,one should stop at that point to avoid overfilling.Too much freon is worse than a low charge especially in hot ambient conditions....

SOURCE: just had car dealership repair 1997 lincoln town air ride

Those Lincolns are notorious for that,I'd just get a set of coil springs out of a Crown Victoria cop car(junk yard)and swap them out.Done it many times, you can do it in about an hour, and they'll never leak down again.By the way, there's some O-rings in that system.Make some soapy water and spray every connection, just maybe you'll get lucky.

SOURCE: where are spark plugs in a 1998 lincoln town car

they are "coil on plug" design, so you have to remove the ignition coils to get to the plugs.
they are along side of the valve cover near the fuel injectors

Why does my lincoln town car air condition blow hot air with the compressor working and Freon full

I would recharge it then see if that fixes the problem. if it keeps blowing hot the you will more then likely you will need to replace the compressor. but I would check all the line first you might have a leak or one of the lines could have come loose

1996 lincoln town car cartier makes a steady groaning noise seems as if it comes from front of engine. Occurs continuously and then at times, not at all.

If it seems to get louder when you turn the steering wheel then check your power steering fluid level. If determined this is the cause of groaning sound but fluid level is right then you will need to bleed the air or the pump is going bad. Beyond that I need more info for further help.

I have a 97 Cartier that will not engage the air cond clutch even when jumping the two pressure switches, however when I grounded the negative side of the clutch electrical connector the clutch engaged and...

You will run the risk of damage to the A/C. The switches prevent the system from running when there is not enough freon and since the oil is circulated with the freon the oil will not lube the a/c.

Air condition does not work just hot air I have set it to auto or manul it just give me hot air

Your freon level is low. Go to any shop that charges car air conditioners and get your freon recharged. Usually the charge is around $25-50. Joe

1990 Lincoln Town Car Blows only Hot Air

Be sure the compressor clutch is cycling. Also, check the orifice tube, evaporator and condensor for blockages. Freon level should be checked with manifold gauges and compared to specs.
