I had a bad motor mount that broke the alternator harness and came up no charge on compputer. I replaced the harness connectorand rebuilt the alternator which tested putting out 14.5 volts but wont charge my battery. I also replaced the battery.

Hi, I can't tell you exactly what is wrong because there is too much involved at this point, what with 2 shops working with it, but I can give you some advise on what else to check. On the alternators and the wiring that supports them a small volt charge is taken off one of the slip rings, where the brushes ride, for the purpose of turning out the light. As I remember, this is a yellow wire that runs back to the dash.
To the alternator, it would be one of the wires that plug into the side of the alternator case.

Perfectly normal.
Starting with the 2005 model year, light duty full size pickups and
utilities are equipped with a new Regulated Voltage Control (RVC)
system. This system reduces the targeted output of the generator to
12.6-13.1 volts when in "Fuel Economy Mode" to improve fuel economy.
The generator may exit "Fuel Economy Mode" if additional voltage is
required. This will cause the voltmeter to fluctuate between 12 and 14
volts as opposed to non-regulated systems that usually maintain a more
consistent reading of 14 volts. This fluctuation with the RVC system is
normal system operation and NO repairs should be attempted.

Check the wiring and connectors going to the alternator. It appears you have a bad connection or broken wire - that would cause intermittent flashing of the alternator light or a steady glow, depending on how bad it is. Pay special attention to the alternator output wire going to the battery - you may not have a clean, solid connection to the new terminal.
As an aside, a leaking seal around a battery post can cause significant deterioration of the terminal connections in a few days. After several bad experiences, I always apply a counter-torque to the battery terminal with one hand while I tighten the terminal clamp bolt with a wrench in the other hand. The counter-torque keeps the wrench from applying force to the battery post and cracking the seal. Since I started that practice, I've had very little trouble with terminal corrosion.

Hello
The normal charge of alternator on idling is about 13 to 14 volts. 12 is acceptable but keep in mind it will need attention soon. The needle fluctuates due to the revs of the alternator - there is nothing to worry about. Just look that the charge is always above 12V on idle.

SOURCE: 1998 isuzu trooper need wiring diagram for charging system with a3.5 li5ter motor
1998 trooper new alternator and still not charging and alternator bench tested good,
Check main 80 amp fuse in engine compartment and also check fuses in inside fuse box, there two in that one. first is engine fuse 15amp and the 10amp gauge fuse,
Here is the wiring diagram for the charging system as you asked for , also check connections, follow battery wire off the back of alternator make sure connections are good , that wire runs to engine fuse box and that is one fuse that i said to check it is 80amp, hope this is helpful good day
