You might not be able to replace the studs might have to replace the hub. If the hub is rusted it will be better to replace hub because the other lugs could break. Try to turn the hub to different positions and see if you can make room behind to insert stud. I used the lug nut to tighten my stud when my lug broken

Cant get rotor off 2000 mazda 626

Hammer time! all the brake rotors I've ever seen just slide on over the wheel lug studs. Your rotor could be seized on there due to rust or excessive heat. tap your way around the back side of the brake rotor and if you can put some heat to the wheel stud areas and it should pop loose. Hope this helps

My 91 Honda Accord EX wagon has a broken lug on front driver side. How do i fix it, & will it be ok in the meantime with the three lug nuts on tight?

It is not recommended to drive it like that. It's not too bad to replace but it depends on your level of mechanical skill, You need to remove the brake caliper and disc and then you can simply knock the remains of the broken stud out with a hammer and punch, To fit the new one insert the stud and then put a large nut over the thread, then fit the lug nut and tighten it to pull the stud into the hub, then simply remove the lug nut and put it all back together.

I had a wheel stud break off when trying to replace the brakes. I have the roters off and the old stud off. I had to saw the old stud off. No room to replace new stud. Can you suggest the best method in...

You were supposed to knock out the wheel studs, towards the back of the rotor and install the new stud through the back. You will have to knock out what's left of the one you sawed off in order to get the new one in.

The stud on the Right Front Rotor is turning how do i fix it?

Hi, what you will need to do is take 5 to 6 washers and take the wheel off and put the washers on over the stud that is loose and take a lug nut and tighten it down till it pulls the stud back into the hub. if it does not tighten up and spins you will need to replace it. just take the brake caliper and bracket off and the rotor. then pound the old stud out and insert the new one then use the washers and lug nut to pull the stud into the hub. good luck

hi,
remove the rotor with the lugs in it - take it to NAPA - they will remove the old one and replace it with a new lug bolt/nut combo for the price of the parts. 28ab2be.jpg

Only if there is an Acsess Hole Directly Behind the STUD'S PUNCH THE Broken SHORT one OUT But there May Not Be Enough ROOM FOR the NEW LONG STUD to go in between the HUB & Rotor Check this FIRST If you see GOOD CLEARANCE TO GET The new STUD in Then just Drive the old one out , and Use A LARGER than Stud Nut Or Washers to Pull New Stud Threw some Before Putting Wheel on. Then Put Wheel on And Tighten Wheel , Retorque after a Few Hundred Miles.
