The heater core is part of the car's engine cooling system and is not part of the AC. They share only the fan used to move the cool or heated air provided by the AC or heater.

2006 Pontiac Torrent. I have no heat.

Hi,

your car's heater core might be malfunctioning or their might not be enough coolant (or hot coolant) to heat the inside of your vehicle. Please first ensure that your coolant is not running low (if so, you can add more) and then allow a place like autozone to perform a quick check on your heater core to see if it needs to be replaced.

Thank you.

2007 g6 pontiac heatercore removal step by step or do i have to remove dash

Some of the dash will have to be removed in order to remove the heater box assembly. In most cases, the air conditioning will have to be evacuated/recharged as the AC evap core is also in the same box as the heater core. This has a labor time of 5.9 hours to complete a heater core replacement. Not a job to attempt with out mechanical back ground

No heat in Pontiac g6 2007

troubleshoot!
are the heater hoses (firewall) gettin just as hot as the radiator hoses? If not, focus on blockage in the heater core.
If they are same temperature, might be a mechanical/vacuum malfunction in the climate control system.

Pontiac G6 (2006) 55k miles AC inop.

Load placed on the engine takes place when the Compressor clutch engages. It will not engage if the system charge is too low on freon. It needs to be checked with a gauge, I think that may be your problem.

Pontiac G6 2006 heater won't heat!

If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, here is an easy way to see if your heater core is actually plugged or not. It does require that the engine is up to operating temperature, which means you should also be careful not to get burned.

Find where the heater hoses actually pass into the car. They are usually found going into the car behind the engine at the firewall. There should be two black rubber hoses, about 5/8" diameter. With the engine running at operating temperature and the heater on, both hoses should feel pretty hot. If one hose is hot and the other feels cold or lukewarm, the heater core is most likely plugged.
