2002 Grand Caravan Sport vs 2008 Grand Caravan...Can parts be interchanged?
I have a 2002 Grand Caravan and a 2008 Grand Caravan....what parts can I save from the 2002 to use in the 08? Before I parked my 02 I had just installed a new starter, new brake drums, new blower motor and a few other parts. Just wondering if it's worth saving my 02 for parts.

For jobs like this you need a service manual and also special tools like bearing extractors, and hydraulic presses to press them back in. The 'rubbery thing' is a bearing seal. It stops water and grit ruining your new bearing.
If this was my project, I would call a large salvage yard near me and ask them the same question. They have to know these things in order to sell used parts. They should have a crossover chart that lists which vehicles have interchangeable parts.

take it to a parts store , have them pull out the code, you might try this , remove the negative battery terminal for about 10 minutes ! this could do it ! if not, have the parts store do it. all codes must be removed from ecm after repair is made to eliminate it , its stored into the memory, it will not forget about it , you have to make it forget !!!! get it ?
An interchange manual could tell you. Call a salvage yard and ask them. Those interchange manuals are quite expensive to buy and keep updated. Salvage yards require them to know if parts are interchangeable. They could quickly check for you.
