Why it will not go into gear?

check to see if the brake lights are working. some cars have a lockout for the gear shifter that won`t allow you to shift out of park if they are not working. it is wired into the brake light switch so when the switch or fuse is not working then the car won`t shift out of park.

Mazda 3 2005 won shift from park and won star either I have to put in neutral to b able to star car?

If it won't shift from park my first question would be how do you get it Into neutral? Sounds like you may have a gear selector sensor issue .

GEAR SHIFT STUCK IN PARK HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS

check the fuses as if the brake light fuse is blown it won`t allow the shifter to move out of park.it has a shift interlock system so the gear shift won`t accidentally be moved out of park by mistake.

My ford windstar1998 gear won`t go into park even that the neddle say it in park, so my car won`t start.

Does the shifter feel loose and sloppy? Sometimes the bracket comes loose that the shift cable is attached to. If it isn't loose check the cable end at the trans under the brake booster.
