New ignition key cylinder wont start my 1995 toyota corolla.

The lock cylinder is not timed correctly then.

The ignition switch may be bad or the resistor for the coil could be open. Look at the fuel pump too. there is a switch on the engine that will shut it off if the alternator is not working correctly.

best to replace switch.unlawful to use a screwdriver to start it.

have a chat with the dealer about this,I am not up to speed on these electronic theft systems..my fotay is the older cars and such..

Hi Jose, The knock sensor, is usually located under the intake manifold on the lowest part of the cylinder head. It controls the ignition timing firing point, by adjusting the timing. It is not unusual for the connection to become loose, so check the connection before buying a new part. Regards John

What about the ignition switch not the key switch, ignition switch or ignition module?

It can be faulty ignition lock cylinder.I suggest to wiggle the steering wheel a bit and see if the key gets released out.If that is not helping then first turn steering wheel to right and try removing the key,or next turn steering wheel to left and see if you can remove the key.

Spray wd-40 in the ignition key hole and let it remain there for few minutes,after that once again try to remove the key and see if that helps.

But if that is not helping then ignition lock cylinder has to be removed out and key has to be manually removed.
