I lost my keys so i tryed to brake ignition. then i found the keys . the ignition cranks put wont start completly. the security lights keeps blinking too. it1s a toyota corolla 2009

unhook battery 15 min hook back on lower driver window put key on ignition just bump the engine and wait until security lit stop flashing turn key off do it again 3 times once lit goes off crank engine an should start if lit wont go away or flash while cranking you have a security issue at switch or bcm now need a scanner capable to look at the security data
The steering wheel will not "lock" until you turn it about 45 degrees from center...this is normal. If your security light is flashing, there is a problem with your security system that is keeping you from starting the engine. Try this: Set the parking brake. Turn the ignition to the "RUN" position and wait about 10 minutes for the security light to stop flashing. When the light stops flashing, crank the engine without turning the key to the off position. If it starts, take the vehicle to get the security system checked. If it doesn't start, tow it. You probably need a new PassKey sensor.

THE 10 MINUTE TRICK WILL GET CAR STARTED TO GET HOME OR SHOP.BUT DONT KEEP DRIVING BECAUSE IT WILL COME TO A POINT WHERE VECHICLE WONT CRANK AGAIN.
TRY REPROGRAM KEY .PUT KEY IN IGNITION SWITCH TURN IGNITION SWITCH ON POSITION 20 SECONDS DONT START ENGINE WAIT 20 SECONDS TURN OFF SWITCH THEN TURN SWITCH BACK ON 20 SECONDS WATCH THE THEFT SECURITY LIGHT BLINKING.WHEN THEFT STOP BLINKING VECHICLE WILL CRANK.IF LIGHT STILL BLINKING.TRY FEW MORE TIMES KEY IN SWITCH ON POSITION FOR 20 SECONDS.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT CAR KEYS IN SWITCH IF NOT WRONG SET OF CAR KEYS WILL SET OFF THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM.IF KEY RESETTING TRICK DONT WORK.CHECK BATTERY POWER MAKE SURE YOUR BATTERY HAS 12.5 VOLTS AND CHECK SECURITY THEFT FUSE.IF ALL LOOKS GOOD YOUR SECURITY HAS TO BE CHECKED OUT AT THE DEALERSHIP.
try this reset procedure, if it doesn't work the dealer must be consulted, there is problem with the security control module, if the module is in need of replacing the part must be programed to accept your ignition key.
PASSKEY LOCKOUTRESET ALL GM CARS 1999 AND UP 1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out.
