I did not find engine number of isuzu begon v-6 kindly tell me

  • Jeff May 11, 2010

Which engine number are you looking for? If you want the size then its usually on the radiator support or under the hood. If your wanting the actual Identification number then odds are you'll have to pull the engine to find it. Many engines they are on the back sometimes in the bell housing of the transmission, or on the lower sides of the block hidden by the exhaust, starter, or oil filter housing.

Good Day. How do I set the valves gap for a Isuzu 161Z motor, is it on rocking stage or completely loose??

completely loose -- piston on tdc compression stroke
if you know the firing order of the engine if no 1 piston is on compression stroke , the next piston to fire will be on valve overlap or valve rock
when it is in the valve rocking situation then no 1 piston will be at maximum clearance for adjustment purposes
repeat the process for the next piston to fire
for example "- 6 cylinder
firing order -- 1-5-3-6-2-4
with no 1 on compression , no 5 valves will be rocking, no 5 on compression no 3 valves will be rocking with no 3 on compression no 6 valves will be rocking and so on

Td12xxc3 what kind of engine and year believe its a chevy v-6

That's a tough one! If you need routine maintenance parts like an air filter, oil filter or spark plugs just remove the part and write down the number on the part and get the same part number. If you need stuff like a starter, water pump, etc. you need to look for some kind of ID plate on the engine. Are you sure there is a Chevy engine in an Isuzu Rodeo???? Can't imagine how they did that!

I have a 2006 Isuzu Ascender with a 6 Cyl. 4.2L Engine and I need to locate the Vapor Canister Purge Valve. Any ideas where it is located. I have looked but am unable to locate it. Is it under a plastic...

Hello have a 2006 Isuzu I-280 and I needed to replace, at this moment, the Evaporative Valve Soleniod which is instaled next to the Vapor Canister. In my case, It is mounted on the frame behind the gas tank you will have to move the spare tire out of the way one bolt holds it in place, this is where the canister is and the valve is mounted on the canister this is where it is mounted on my 2006 I-280. If you need to replace the solenoid and you can't find the original Isuzu part, you can ask for the 2006 Chevy Impala V-6 3.5 Purge Valve Solenoid. It is the same piece. The old Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid has a number part PA-GF30, and it is the same part number I found in the new Chevy Impala Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid. Good luck.

ENGINE NUMBER FOR 05 DIESEL RODEO LOCATION AND NUMBER OF OF DIGITS

Any car repair manual should tell you how to find the engine numbers. I like the Haynes manual; about $20 at autozone. If you ever plan to do any work on your vehicle it is very handy to have a good repair manual

1992 Isuzu Rodeo Distributor wires 3.1L engine

Hi,
Isuzu seem to have complicated things by changing engines, firing orders and even direction of rotation! As you can see, they've numbered the cylinders the other way than the 3.2L.

The Firing sequence for the 3.1 (traditional distributor) 6 cylinder is as follows -

d6e5b2a.jpg

If you take the distributor cap off, there should be a "No.1" formed on the inside. Stick a lead on this before you put the cap back on and go from there.
As leads are different lengths, you may have to swap a few to find the best fit.

I think 2 of them will look out of place - but that's the way it's designed. Just make use of clips for holding them neatly.

Thanks for using Fixya.
