Drives ford while and at times stops and after 15 or 20 minutes starts again, what is wrong with my car ??

Your transmission is probably going into "limp" mode. This happens when the car's computer senses something wrong that is potentially very bad. It is your cars way of telling you to take it to the dealer so they can read the error codes in your computer.

I think it is the ECU (Electronic Computer Module) that had a glitch in it. If it happens again try to remove the battery negative cable for a few minutes then reconnecting it again. If it starts, it just re-programmed itself. Make sure everything is off when you do this. Radio, heater, everything.

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door,the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

Bad gas maybe, maybe junk in tank from bad gas or it could b the cadalidic converter

Is the check engine light showing a trouble code on the instrument panel? That may pin the trouble down.

With the light flashing ,codes are stored in the transmission control module . Have the codes check an this will tell you whats wrong . Probably a sensor or shift solenoid or line pressure solenoid .

try cleaning carburator- take off breather-use spray carburator cleaner--CAUTION -its flameable!!

best thing to do is take it to your ford dealer, they will plug it into their system and run a diagnostic check, any issues or problems will come up and they can tell you whats wrong and fix it straight away.

Check your battery terminal's, check woltage when engine is off on your battery, check voltage when running. Could be alternator, battery ior something wrong with charging system.

There was a recal by ford company regarding this they should change it or upgrade and modify free of charg.
