I\'ve never heard of hanger bearing. Where is it located. Are you talking about the carrier bearing. The carrier bearing is somewhat of pain if you don\'t have the right tools. If it\'s the carrier bearing your talking about you need to rent or buy a bearing puller and hopefully you have air impact but it\'s still possible without. The hub bearing retaining bolts are 150 ft. lbs the center axle nut primary torque 135 ft.lbs rotate 5-10 times increasing torque by 50 ft.lbs until final torque of 265 ft.lbs is reached
Yes if the lock switch is bad then you will loose control of the other windows. The switch is easy to replace and is available at NAPA parts online or your local NAPA parts house. This is a common problem with drivers door controls on gm vehicles.
Are you speaking of the cairrer bearing? if so you can unblot it or if it's rivited grind off the rounded heads then with a hammer and punch punch out rivots or bolts. once out go to a junk yard and see if you can find a used undamaged support. check the load valve under the bed for proper operation..it is controlled by the weight placed in the bed, if its faulty, it could put to much brake to the rear wheels.
Are the tie rod ends tight? Is the trac bar (frame end) tight? The steering boxes on these trucks require more input that a 1/2 ton truck or a car. How is the alignment? The caster on these should be set to about 5 degrees, the original specs allow a lot of wandering.
