Not likely. Probably a mechanical issue.

Testimonial: "Thank you Tommy for your response to my issue. My Lexus car is giving me real issues. The reverse gear was burnt but was fixed. Then all of a sudden the car started consuming much fuel that raw fuel come out of the exhaust and when the oil was changed it was mixed with Fuel. Please what should I be looking at here. Thank you for your time."
A couple of issue may be at fault. What may be happening is your injectors are firing, but your spark plugs may not be. Can you test your plugs for spark? If some have spark and the others dont, I would suspect a distributor issue. If none have spark, I would look aat the cam and/or crank sensor. I have very rarely seen a PCM or computer go bad. If none of the above items seem to be failing, I would have a compression test run.

I would only add to tommy martin's good advice, check if fuel pressure is correct, and if fuel pressure regulator has a broken diaphragm. That would let excess gas into the intake and cylinders through the vacuum line to the regulator.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this
