Where is the oil pump for american cliper 440 1977 dodge sportsman located

To my knowledge 99.9 % of American built v6 and v8 engines have an internal oil pump,normally mounted on the bottom of the block inside the oil pan.

There are 2 fuel pumps on the dodge motorhomes electric in the frame by the tank and the manual pump on the engine block

Oil pump is located on the oil pan.
Parts needed,,,oil,,,, oil filter,,,, oil pan gasket,,, oil pump,,,, oil pump pickup tube..
time to do this,, about 3 hours
Instructions,
Raise van place on 2 jack stands
drain oil remove oil filter fill new filter install.
remove bolts from oil pan,
remove oil pan..
remove 2 bolts that hold oil pump and tube.

install new pump and tube tork bolts to 45 fp
replace oil pan gasket and install oil pan
tork pan bolts to 35" pounds
install drain plug
fill with oil
start and check for leaks

It's inside the oil pan it has to be removed to be replaced.

Remove the oil pan, it is mounted at the rear of the engine with a tube and screen attached. Be sure to prime the new pump before installing it.

remove oil pan from engine..oil pump is bolted to rear main bearing cap of engine..pickup tube may be plugged if you're having an oil pressure issue
