I am driving a 2007 VW Passat 2.0 Tdi. I have noticed an above normal vibration coming from the engine. At first it was only noticeable at higher speeds especially when acceleration. Gradually this vibration has increased and are noticeable at lower speeds and even when driving at a constant speed.
Motor mounts. You have bad motor mounts. They is extraordinary engineering behind all modern motor mounts. They are doing A LOT more work than you realize. And they go bad. Have your local wrecking yard confirm it. And and then ask the parts puller do it on the weekend. He knows how to do it for half the dealer cost. He does it every day. And could use the cash.... only pay the guy cash.
Or let your trusted shop do it. They will wsntbto replace hem all. Ask the wrecking yard expert if that is really necessary. He will be the only guy to trust with a question like this.

When you say "throughout" that would indicate that it is coming from the rear of the truck..
There could be a number things causing this..
It could be a bad tire or a broken belt on a tire..
A test for this is - roll along at 3 miles per hour.. If you feel a wobble - that is probably a broken belt in a tire..
Or maybe even a bent axle..
It could be a bad universal in the drive shaft..
It could be a broken shock/strut or mount or both..
Best of luck !

sound like the u-joints in the driveshaft. Lay under the truck and where the u-joints are try moving the driveshaft up and down. If it moves then the u-joints are bed. This will cause a tremendous vibration under a load and the faster it spins it will smooth out.
