Once the theft deterrent thinks the security has been breached, it will not allow the car to be started.
You might need to have the dealer re-program processor.
Hope this helps.

If you want to turn the lights off then look at this forum for similar advice.

How can I disable the anti theft system in a 1998 Ford f150 truck

Your vehicle has two theft systems - content theft , if the door is opened without the key or keyless entry key fob the horn honks lights flash . PATS - passive anti-theft system ,this keeps the vehicle from starting if the computers don't see the right code from the transponder pellet in the head of the key .

I have a 2001 mercury sable and the anti theft is on and I can't start my car. will disconnecting the battery reset it?

Yes, keep it disconnected for at least 10 minutes. Also make sure your Battery is good. Sometimes the Anti-theft is sensitive to Battery voltage and will not connect the internal parts to allow a start.

If you have a Keypad, enter the Security Code on the Keypad and turn the Ignition Key within 5 to 10 seconds to start it.

Side marker lights keep flashing/car seems to need batt charge

You either have bad terminal connections on your battery or the anti-theft system has a system or sencor problem . I would really recomend that honda/acura check your electrical system and anti-theft system

Single mom can't do nothing cuz of car

You may have a faulty ingition. Otherwise you have the very common GM anti-theft system. If you have a flashing anti-theft light with key in igniton, then this is what you should do:

Put key in ignition, turn to ON position (Do NOT Start)
Leave in on position for EXACTLY 10 Minutes
Then while watching the anti-theft light, as SOON as the light turns off after 10 minutes, START CAR IMMEDIATELY after light turns off.

This will reset the anti-theft
