I have a toyota tacoma 4x4 1999 2.7. and when i try to started it make a bad noise. but if i push it starts button second gear. can anyone tell what this can be.

Water went in relays,computer mane it thats a desaster try drying as mush part as you can saw that hapen too many time everybody ask me clean my engine its dirty i always tell them so what its dirty and after i tell the story about the with a town car

sounds like yiour fuel pump is not running or you have a clooged fuel filter. If the pump is not running it could be the relay or a bad pump. The pump runs for about 1.5 second when you turn on the key.. go to back of truck and have someone just turn the key on to the accessory position. you should be able to hear the pump start and stop.. Kinda a bussing noise.

Check the clutch cylinder and make sure you have no leaks and bleed it through good luck colin

try the center drive shaft bearing or the yoke attached to the ujoints

Take it to sears auto or a good alignment shop and let them check it out. Pitman arm or end links may be going bad.

Try putting foot on brake, or is key in ignition, also over-ride button by shifter. Auto's have safety micro switches in these places so not to have car in drive and start, "extremely dangerous" Try this first easily missed. lol

the noise is from a worn out clutch pressure plate release bearing, replace it..

solenoids are worn out, it will probably eventually start after 4 or 5 clicks but its annoying as hell
