SOURCE: 2005 Pathfinder Heat Flow problem

I am having/had the same problem. My rear heater has not worked the last 2 winters, still trying to figure that one out. But I think I solved the front heat problem myself. The heater was blowing cold air while idling and hot air when the car was moving.

I jacked up the front of the vehicle, took the cap off of the reserve tank for the radiator, turned the car on and ran the heat (AC off) for 15 minutes. This is supposed to release any air bubbles in the coolant system and I did see air bubbles emerge as I was watching (this might be normal occurance, I'm far from a mechanical expert). Anyway, this did not immediately solve the problem, still blowing cold air as it sat there idling after 15 minutes. Dejected, I put the cap back on, lowered the vehicle and resigned myself to taking it to a dealer.

But a funny thing happened the next day, the coolant level was a lower (no leaks on the floor) so I filled up, and sure enough, when I started the car and let it warm up a little, hot air started coming out of the heater!!!

As far as my wife knows, I fixed the problem for the price of a bottle of coolant, so I am a hero...but at first I thought it didn't work. Here we are a month later and still blowing warm air and haven't had to replace any more coolant...the internet is a wonderful thing!

Hope this works for you, and I hope I can figure out my rear heater problem as well.

Take a look at Nissan Technical Service Bulletin NTB05-15b. Title = "Rattle Noise From Vias Power Valve Actuator / Intake Manifold Collector" This appears to describe your problem exactly. I have the same problem with my 2005 Xterra and I am going to try the recommended fix myself at home.

SOURCE: How to repair Power Window Switch on front

The reason that they go down but not up is because they are usually binding in the track inside the door. You can remove the door panel and grease it with silicone grease to fix the problem. Usually its not the switch, but if you press it too much the switch will get burned out because it overheats inside from the current. If you remove the door panels, you should be able to switch the left and right switches to trouble shoot the switches. If you switch them and the right one goes down now, then you know the old right switch is bad.

SOURCE: 2005 Pathfinder no reverse lights

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

SOURCE: The front passenger side window on my 1997 Nissan

Sound like a window switch.
If you didn't hear any mechanical noises from window before it happened , most likly - switch. If noises were present , might be window regulator or a motor.

2004 Nissan Micra SE - front passenger electric window struggling to come up.

It is one of two things. The motor is shot or the window regulator is bad. I would replace both at the same time.

I have a 2005 magnum front passenger window won't come down all other windows work properly I replaced the motor and it rolled up and stayed there won't come down I Cleand the connection nothi

Did you try direct 12vdc power to motor wires ? Reverse polarity should change direction of motor, then you'll know it's switch related or whatever. Did old motor do same? The switch reverses polarity, or is supposed to. If a motor goes in one direction, when wired backward ( reverse polarity) it should go opposite direction. That tells you motor is fine.

Front passenger window goes down NOT up using both driver & passenger controls. already changed the motor but same problem

This sounds like a switch problem. You also have a middle switch which is the AUTO feature for the windows. You want to check for power right on the wire connector at the motor to see if power is there for both up and down. Then if you only have down power, trace the wire harness back to the AUTO module and if it is dead there, trace the wires going into the AUTO module. Do not forget to use the UP button when you test the wiring.

When you work backwards you will come to a point where the power is still there when you push the buttons. If the power does not go through the switch, that switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

My 2005 kia spectrum passenger front window goes down but not up.i have replaced motor and no luck. what should i do?

You only replace a motor if it quits

It is a DC Motor & will run in either direction

Did you apply power to the old motor or replace
a perfectly good motor?

If it goes down & not up,wouldn't you conclude that
the switch is bad, in the up position?
