the plastic around the gear shifter will pop up with a good pull, then turn it side ways to get over the shifter, then there are 2 screws the hold the bezel down around the radio and air vents, then just pull from the air vents it will pop off to reveil the screws to the radio

jackxlong: I wish I could give you an answer you would like, but it is the only one I know.
Unfortunately, Nissan has no service procedures for actual internal repairs to the radio. The only thing you can do is remove it and have it repaired at a shop which services audio equipment.
It is sometimes cheaper to buy a used unit from a salvage yard than it is the have your repaired. Often the minimum charge is more than what you can buy a used unit for.
Look into it before doing anything. Check with regular automotive audio shops, they may have "Take out" units they will sell cheap and/or be able to fix yours.
Good Luck.

There are two screw at the bottom of the black plastic trim panel around the radio. Remove the screws and pull the trim panel back. Remove the four screws around the radio, unplug the wires on the back of the radio and you are finished!
