If it's the same problem i had with my 94 it's the sending unit that has corroded and broke. if you go to autozone.com you can get a picture of it.

Fuel line diagram for 2004 ford explorer sport trac

It runs from the tank to the frame(drivers side) up to the engine. I don't and you should splice fuel lines. I replace all of it. Plastic or metal. If the leak is coming around the sides of the tank, this could be the fuel sending unit.

Do you have a brake diagram

It just goes up above the fuel tank brackets. If it has leaks there you will see it on the tank or at the frame. I always just replace them... Always. You don\'t have to pull the tank. just run them beside the tank. If the lines are god coming from the ABS or master cylinder, cut them. Use compression fittings from there and replace them all the way back to the back brakes. Don\'t kink the lines.. Don\'t remove the old lines, just extra work. Keep the new lines close to them, tie wrap them on

Does petrol tank leaks when overfilled i fillled up the petrol in Murano 2012 and its started leaking. local mechanics checked the gasket found it missing he replaced it this stoped the leaking for a week...

Yep,breather is necessary.Breather line is draining it under the car, less dangerous.Do not feel it to the top.Replace the draining line,dust/water may find a way into the tank, later u'll have to deal it (fuel filter, cloged fuel lines, fuel pump malfunction, fuel gauge malfunction).Track the problem eliminate the hipoteses of a cracked tank, loosed fuel pump.Cheers.

My 1988 dodge ram custom 50 I think is having fuel pump problems. It chokes going mainly up hills. or could it be the fuel filter?

There are fuel lines inside the gas tank. Over time they can rust causing them to break or leak. You have one of two options, first you can pull the tank and replace the line. The second option is to keep the gas tank fuel level above the leak. And the fact that this happens mainly when going up a hill, suggests the leak is lower in the tank. All the gas shifts to the rear of the tank and exposes the leak. NOTE: The leak is probably just above the level you usually keep the tank filled to. So if you keep it at 1/4 that's where you'll find it etc....

Fuel is leaking or being forced out of the tank had a recent fuel pump replaced is it possible to have a leak after such a procedure

yes very very possible the fuel lines probably are very rusty and/or brittle and when disturbed to replace pump can develop a leak also any connections where the lines hook to tank can leak or could be top seal on tank where pump goes into tank(top seal usually only leak on a full or near full tank)

I have a broken brake line above my gas tank and I can not find a diagram to show me if the line runs straight across the tank or if there are other connecting lines above the gas tank that I can not see....

Look at the differential housing and you'll find a "T" with a flexible line going to that broken line above the tank. Cut and connect another a replacement line from front of tank around to the "T" and then bleed the rear brakes. The single line feeds both rear brakes from that "T" and there are no other lines connected to it. Done this way will keep you from having to drop the fuel tank to get to the line to replace it.

Gas line leak. looking for a diagram of how gas lines are run

The Lines are simple if it's a 2.4 EFI the lines run on the driver side inner rail from the center top of fuel tank, and up the middle of the firewall to the injector rail or throttle body carburetor there is also one line that runs from the evap canister back to the tank and to the fuel system three lines total one is a return line the large line is the main fuel line and has the fuel filter mounted on it and is under the driver side door inside the frame rail.
