You need a repair manual, no manual? Try MFG website or email their customer service, or try
manualslib.com
or buy from your favorite auto parts store. The codes should be included in the repair manual and give an indication of what needs repair.

Needs to go to a repair shop, to be road tested with scan tool,
& the codes properly diagnosed,component tested & the vehicle
repaired as required

P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off, take a cheap OBD2 code scanner to erase the code, if the light come again, you need to take it to repair.

u need to post the year make an model of the car or truck an u need to post the P code that keeps coming back for someone to help you...once u post the code it can be easly looked up an repaired...if u cant pull the codes yourself u can take it to any repair garage an have the codes pulled

If the transmission will still shift then the problem is in the instrument cluster.Will need to be repaired at the dealer or a speedometer repair shop.If the transmission will not shift then the problem is most likely in the TCM(transmission control module)and/or wiring.Need to have transmission and body computer codes pulled.You will need to go to a professional repair facility to do this because the code pullers they use at the parts stores will not access these codes.

Your guy is just clearing codes, he's not reading them and addressing what codes/faults are there, Find another repair guy.

Hello bdc45: My name is Roger and I will help you. First you need to have the computer system tested. Your truck has what is called OBD2 capability. This will help with finding the problem. What ever codes are set will help tell what needs repaired. Poor gas mileage or hard start problems should be cured after the codes are read and repairs completed.
