had problems with my 2003 honda accord,it cudnt start, the ignition turns..but the car still wudnt start.the mechanic tried 2 service the kick starter n loosen it out.a chip fell out 4rm the ignition area as the kick starter was brought out. the kick was succesfully serviced n installed, yet the car wudnt start.the mechanic is now saying the car key is bad, but am thinking its the little chip that fell out 4rm the ignition area that might b causing the problem.........pls pls ..can somebody advice me on what 2 do next...also any idea on a website where i can get the car ignition system diagram
If the ignition on this car is ever disconnect then the key needs to be programmed. This vehicle has a key recognition system. This is an anti theft system. The new ignition needs to be programmed by a computer. You may have to take it to trhe dealer and pay them to do it. They are some regular shop that can do it, but I will recommend the HONDA dealer hands down. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA
ok..thanks.but do u have any idea to what caused the problem in the first place...remember,the initial problem was the car not starting. the ignition turns but the car doesnt start, cos am still not sure if the problem has been solved or not, since the ignition was just taken out n serviced
