The alarm would cause the car not to crank, and the alarm horn would sound. You can try unlocking the car from the trunk lock to disarm the alarm. But crank and no start could be a bad ignition switch. Do the dashboard lights stay on or go out while the key is in the crank position? They should remain "on". Worn ignition switch could cause the car to crank but not start.
IT IS LOOKS LIKE A FUEL PRESSURE LEAKING INSIDE THE ENGINE OR DEFECTIVE FUEL INJECTOR LEAKING . TRY DISCONNECTING THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. AND CRANK THE ENGINE IF ALWAYS CRANK WITH OUT OF FUEL (CRANK WITHOUT START) YOU HAVE FUEL LEAK INSIDE THE ENGINE
REMOVE THE INJECTORS RAIL UP EVERYTHING CONNECTED,PUT BACK THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TURN THE SWITCH ON AND FIND WICH ONE IS LEAKING. (GASOLINE IS FLAMMABLE TAKE CARE)
No start? Does it crank and just not start? The places I like to check first are coil pack, cam sensor, crank sensor. I have had a car not start due to crank sensor before.
wont crank or wont start.?? no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic) that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch. ill answer for, wont CRANK ! it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started. 1: bad start 2: bad wires to same. so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny. cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad. if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead. easy, huh?
Hi, there.
Did you mean, It is crank But not START?
If your car is not crank at all, it is mean you need to check :
- power line
- relay / solenoid
If car crank but not start, it is mean your need to check :
- fuel line
- ignition
-vacuum leak
- EGR etc.
So , please check your car to get where the root cause is and get it fixed quickly.
Best regards, Jay
The crank sensor wires may be oil soaked, try moving them a little and see if it will start. It's beside the crank pulley on the passenger side. Got my lincoln started that way.
I am not sure where the crank position sensor is on your car but when the alternator belt broke on my Buick it trashed the crank sensor that is located next to the crank shaft pulley. The computer needs the crank senor to know the position of the crank shaft. If the sensor is bad the car will not start.
