Speedometer is not accurate

My speedometer will show I am traveling 96 mph when I am stopped at a stop light. When driving with the flow of traffic on the highway it says I'm going 175 mph or 0.

This was a major problem with the Impalas. They released a recall for the instrument cluster because of it failing. Try contacting the dealer, see if it has already been replaced under the recall or if that is still available for you.

Speedometer off

Over the years I have had many complaints of the speedometer being inaccurate, few times has it actually been the case, about 5% I would say. You can have the speeds checked for accuracy by any dealer using a known good vehicle speedometer pace car, done the test dozens of times. Normal speedo accuracy is plus or minus 3 MPH.

My Pedometer is not showing the speed accurately --If I am traveling 35 it registers 50mph and 65 it register 110 MPH

Sounds like the speedometer might be reading in kilometers per hour. Just my guess on this one though.
