1991 lincoln Continental Dash Board completely out

Price will be determined by the work involved in replacing the heater core. Some vehicles require the removing of the complete dash board which would take about two or three days. Other cores, are under the dash and could be done in one day.

why did you replace the battery? is this the one recomended for this car or was price an issue? was the charging system tested? these are things i would check before worring too much. this IS an electrical issue and the common denominator is the battery. let me know if this does not rectify the issue. happy holidays

It's a bad headlight switch.

One of the tail light bulbs can be shorted internally.  Replace the tail light bulbs first.  Try this cheap fix first.

From what you just said i dont belive the mechanic checked your fuses correctly.

Check your self to confirm, But if no avial i belive the controller for your lighting may be fried.

There are 3 small bolts across the top where the front defrost grill is. 2 large bolts directly under the headlight switch and another big bolt lower right hand corner of the glovebox area.

you have to go in under the dash to take it loose.....there are 2 clamps under the hood for the two hoses that run to it that you also have to take loose.under the dash you will have to remove the venting nera the middle of the car to get to the heater core.it takes a couple of hours to change it out.
