SOURCE: why isnt my windshield wiper working?

Easy fix. Very very common chevy issue. the wiper motor goes but no wipers, or they work one time and not the next. drove me nuts for two years. It is the wiper control module. The board actually get moisture in it cracks the sod-er joints they are there go get magnifying glass. hair line cracks in the board. how ever good new auto zone advance auto who ever carries the board 30 bucks. located back of the fire wall by the wiper motor. three torx screws. remove torx. care full not to bend prongs when pulling board. replace with new screws and cover and board. seal new cover with silicon rtv so forth to re prevent moisture. when it rains, rain drops on this board by the top crack and will reoccur. but this is sure fix. did my truck and my buddies. Make sure to use silicon or don't waste your time. Been good ever since 1 year now.

SOURCE: windshield wipers stuck upright when off

This is a commoon problem with what is called the "Park pawl stop". The tab is most likely bent and needs to be re-aligned, then the wipers need to be re-timed. This re-timing can be a little difficult, although the re-aligning of the tab is failry simple.

I was driving down the road the hood to my 2003 Nissan xterra flew up. My windshield wipers stopped working and its hard to open my hood. How do I pull the hood back forward?

There is 2 bolts on each hood hing loosen them and move the hood. As far as the wipers it sounds like the wiper linkage got bent.

Wipers stop in the middle of my wishield, will not park properly

Sorry , no adjustment .
Wiper/Washer System Components
The Wiper / Washer System consists of the following components:
• Windshield wiper / washer switch
• Windshield wiper system module / motor
• Windshield washer fluid pump
• Windshield washer fluid level switch
• WPR 25A fuse
Wiper / Washer System Operation
The windshield wiper motor module is part of the windshield wiper motor cover and controls the wiper motor operation. The windshield wiper motor is a 2 speed motor. Windshield wiper DELAY operation is a low speed wiper motor function with a variable delay interval between the wipe cycles. The DELAY interval is controlled through a series of resistors within the wiper / washer switch.
Park Position Operation
When the windshield wiper / washer switch is turned to the OFF position while the wiper motor is somewhere in mid-cycle, the wiper motor module will continue to operate the wiper motor until the wipers reach the park position. If the ignition is turned off while the wipers are in mid-cycle, the wipers will stop immediately where they are. The wipers will park the next time the ignition is cycled to the ON position.
