SOURCE: Windshield Wiper Arm
Pull up on the wiper arm, you will see a tiny little blade on the side of the wiper arm where it goes over the post, take a little screwdriver and pry that out board, this will release the arm from the post, it will be tight, wiggle the arm and pull straight out away from the post.

The windsheild wiper relay might be stuck or broken. Try tapping it with something or replace it. Could also be the the switch (lever that you control the wipers with) i hope this helps and good luck with diagnosing your problem.

If you are adding coolant and are not seeing a leak, your leak may be internal to the engine (not good). ie. Blown head gasket or cracked head. Check your oil for signs of water, ie milky looking oil on dipstick or rising oil level even though you didn't add oil. Also do a pressure check of coolant system. If it dosn't hold pressure you have a leak someware. Get it fixed ASAP or else say good by to your engine. Also have your water pump and cooling fans ckecked as well. Don't run the AC until its fixed, it just makes the cooling system work harder. As far as the washers, the front and rear use the same container, have the pump checked as well as fuse for the pump and wipers.

Check the plug is completely plugged into the motor. Maybe a bad connection in the motor itself. Also check the switch, try wiggling it when turning on.
