Stuck key in door lock - 2003 Honda CR-V

Then its like my drivers door that I had to replace the lock on the inside of door as my tumblers only lasted so long. My daughter got key stuck upside down and it ruined the lock. Hey, replace lock and use new key for that door or have lock smith rekey it for the old key.

The lock actuator needs to be replaced .

get a bottle of spray lube that has the little red spray tube and flood the lock along the key with lube,, turn key right to left and wiggle up and down,, flood the lock again and push in and pull out on the key a few times and turn key right and left and flood the lock again,, push in and pull out. if this does not remove the key then what has happened is you have a stuck,jammed or broken wafer in the lock and it is binding against the key. the best way to deal with this issue if the key does not come out is to call a locksmith and have him come out and fix the lock and remove the key.
if you do not want to call a locksmith and you are handy with tools -- you can pull the door panel off and remove the door lock and try and manipulate the wafers and get it to release the key. with the lock in hand use a small pin to try and move the wafers away from the key.

if it is stuck "ON" the door I recommend checking to see if someone played a bad prank on you using Crazy Glue or the like, the only way to get it unstuck is by means of nail polish remover, which you will have to be careful it doesn't remove the paint if it should accidentally splash on it, try it in an inconspicous area first like on the paint inside the door, if the key is stuck "IN" the door meaning it is in the lock cylinder and won't come out.... short of removing the door and bringing it to a locksmith, I would recommend first trying to spray WD 40 into the lock all around the side of the key and penetrating the lock tumblers inside, while sprayiing(wera eye protection) try to "jiggle" the key all ways to get it free, the tumblers may be clogged up and sticking from weather elements, WD 40 works great on locks.
If all fails call in a locksmith they house call but get an idea of the price first before they come so you can be aware of the basic costs before hand.
The lock cylinder may have been violated meaning someone may have stuck a tool into it and tried to break into the car that is may be why the key is stuck as well, the lock smith will know.

First you need to take the inside panel off of your door. Then there is a clip holding your key lock in place which you need to remove and pop out the lock. Take the outer case apart and slowly remove the broken key without damaging the tumblers.

If the key is not coming out of the switch, it may be off, but you haven't turned it far enough back that final click to remove the key. Some have a button you have to depress to get the key switch to turn back that final click. That's it.

I assume you have tried juggling and turn ing the key and pulling all at once>>> Type in the security code for the auto locks on the driver door panel it should release the security device in the lock that holds on to fradulent keys (some models have this some dont) if this doesnt work , try unlocing and locking the door using the controls in the car and pulling on the key to try and remove, if the key wont trun any directions remove door panel locate the locking mechinism and use a flat head screw drivce to turn the lil dial o nthe back side to and try to remove the key.. If none of these work, pull really hard straight back dont bend key on lock as it will break off!! becarefull and goold luck.....

really sounds like the tumbler pins are stuck in the cylinder of the lock. mite want to spray some lubricant like(PB Blaster)or WD-40 in the cylinder key hole and push key in and out to see if tumblers will release..gd luck..chris

you will need to replace the the door lock actuator for this door. when you unlock the doors do you hear a loud noise yep that's the problem.
