Have '04 max car. drivers side will not open with key fob

Have '04 max car. drivers side will not open with remote but all other doors will. it will unlock with key in door but to use remote it acts funny .is this a battery problem? dealer says it might be ariator going bad . could it be battery needs replacement in key fob help! i have to manually open drivers side and either manually lock it or use the key. dont want to go to dealer

Sounds like the solenoid that locks and unlocks is bad or the rod came off of the linkage in the door

2011 Proton Savvy. Hi I have broken the key fob after locking the car. If I open the door with the key will it set the alarm off and if so how can I switch it off?

Opening the door with the key should turn the alarm off. It is the certified way to get into a car if the key fob remote fails. Get a local auto locksmith to get you a new fob and key and program it. Keep the old one as a spare key.

My chevoret epica 2007 makisg problem just driver side door open with key or remote other 3 door morotr sound but door not open when i lock the car all door locked at once but when i opnen car just...

Check your owners manual for your remote locking features.

It may be quite normal for a key fob to only open the drivers door...opening all the doors when you only need the drivers door open may present a security threat..anyone could enter your vehicle before you had a chance to secure the open doors. You should be able to unlock the doors you need open from the drivers door console.

First things first...replace the cheaper part first, the battery. It that works, great! If not, then you may need a new key fob then have it programed to your system.

Keyfob remote reprogramming is not very difficult but on some cases it can be done by dealer service tools.

If the remote s faulty then key fob will not get programmed.

Insert the key in ignition. Turn the key to on position, and cycle the key three times off-on-off-on-off-on. Then with the key fob remote select your remote and then try to operate the vehicle with remote.

These are just the basic procedure, but sometimes it will not help.

On that case dealer is the only option.

Try with brand new key fob battery and see.If that helps.
Otherwise May be keyfob needs to be reprogrammed.
