Putting the jack equipment back in a tahoe - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

You probably can but its not a good idea. You want to clean the mating surfaces and put silicone on them. You can unbolt the motor mounts from the frame and jack the motor up a few inches to get the clearance you need. Sometimes you need to loosen the center mount at the back of the transmission too.

Never recieved the jack and accessories? or just don't know where they are? If it is the latter, the subject is covered in the Owners Manual starting on page 5-86. If you really don't have the equipment in your vehicle, the only thing I know to tell you is to call a local repair shop for some assistance. Then you need to get with your local dealer to acquire the equipment that your vehicle is supposed to have onboard.

If it is just the hub you want to replace, jack up the rear tire of the hub you want to replace. Put truck on jack stand. Remove the back tire. Take a rubber mallet and beat the hub off the lug studs. It will probably be stuck, since the truck is a 98, because the brake pads inside have worn their way into the hub a little, creating a lip that you will have to overcome with pressure from the mallet. You will probably need to hit it harder than you would think is normal, but if it has to come off...

Put it where it belongs and jack it out until it becomes tight. If it won't become tight when put where it is supposed to go, put it somewhere else or wrap it with a few rags. This way, you will have something to wipe your hands on, if you ever need to use it.

open the rear door..the jack gonna be right or left wall..open out door compartment on the wall and you will see the jack and the tire wrench...connect the wrench together and it gonna be like 4 feet long...look under the truck on the rear and there you will see the tire...put the long wrench in the hole next to lic plate and start turn counterclockwise and the tire will come down..good.luck

You need to remove the transmission in order to replace that seal. Many times the seal leaking is an indicator of another problem such as a failed pump bushing or metal in the fluid from somewhere else in the unit. i'd definitely take a look in the pan before considering doing the seal as the unit may need to be rebuilt. If it's working normally and the leak isn't bad yet (only a slight drip when running) you can try a good conditioner/sealer such as Lucas. Nothing will replace worn parts but it can buy you some time.
Without proper equipment such as a transmission jack the job becomes far more difficult than it needs to be as in essence it involves just a lot of unbolting things attached, then putting it all back together. (with right stuff, under 2 hours...without, up to six days.(depending on how fast you work.)
Can't give you a guide for that, it would take several pages! (get a manual for reference if you need it...only about $20)

u can do it yourself if u have some experience, u will need jack stands and floor jack heavy breaker bar and tape measure. u jack truck up until tires in the air support frame with jack stands and then jack axle loosen blolts and lift axle up/ down til u can pull bolys out put in new spring retighten measure both sides to common point to make sure axle is staright then do other side when done remeasure adjust if needed

I believe so, there are some audio jacks that are converters from a power source, such as, a lighter jack.
