SOURCE: 1990 toyota pickup 3.0 v6,engine

This is an unfortunatly common problem with this vehicle, if my hypothesis is correct. Try this: disconnect the wiring connector going to the fuel tank, under the bed. Replace the fuse and crank the engine. If the fuse does not blow, then the power wire going to the fuel tank sending unit is shorted out to ground. I change about 15-20 fuel sending units a year for this exact same issue. Replace the fuel tank sending unit if the fuse does not blow. When you get it out, you will see the cause of the short, rust at the connection on top of the sending unit. Hope this helps.

Check the circuit opening relay, located behind glove box or kick panel on right.
Look for signs of corrosion, this fuse only powers the fuel pump and the engine ecu

30amp AM 2 fuse blows as soon you turn on the key & car will not start

This is common about this time on these Camrys. I own three. The AM2 fuse is blowing because a coil, capacitor, or supressor has gone bad in the distributor. To test this disconnect the two wire connectors to the distributor. Replace the AM2 fuse. Turn the ignition. If the fuse doesn't blow. The distributor.

AM2 fuse keeps blowing. Looking for wiring diagram

the most common cause of this issue is a shorted to ground engine harness, due to engine movement the harness rubs on the engine and shorts out, I hear this issue fairly often on the Toyota pickups. look in places where the harness goes over or around engine components, the problem will be there.
