Broken mirror glass on driver side, dent in driver door

I believe you can't get the internal parts of the mirror head. you can only buy a new mirror (just the glass) or an entire mirror head assembly.

Hello. yes. These parts are commonly replaced whether you need just the glass mirror or the entire mirror assembly. You can order new or you could contact a junk yard and hopefully get used.

You can get used door glass from an auto salvage yard, for not too much cash. They aren't hard to install, and your doors are already painted and match the car.

The mirror glass part is available from the GM dealer, better hurry. Hope this helps.

That is not a Question but if you want to know what to do with your broken mirror. replace the mirror . it may be accessable by a plastic panal on the backside of the mirror on the inside of door by the window.under this panal their should be bolts or screws remove them and the mirror will come off.replace bolts or screws with new mirror.replace plastic panel.

are you trting to tighten the mirror glass or the mirror where it attaches to the body? I don't think glass is removable in 99. Only can try to press on glass to seat if unseated. not too hard.

1. Remove the outside rear view mirror (17682).
   1. Disconnect the power mirror wiring clips.
   1. Remove the outside rear view mirror nuts.
   1. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
      • Feed the power mirror wiring through the opening in the front door (20124).

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Exterior Mirror Glass, 2001 model Removal
NOTE: Exterior mirror glass is serviceable only on vehicles built after July of 2001.
NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar.
All mirrors

1. Position the glass in the full up position.

1. Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.

1. Release the exterior mirror glass.
   1. Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch.
   1. Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.

Heated mirrors

1. Position aside the exterior mirror glass.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

1. Remove the exterior mirror glass (17K707) passenger side or (17T675) driver side.

1. Connect the electrical connectors.

1. Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

1. Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.

You can get the glass from you friendly neighborhood junk yard and it should snap right in!

if you can get a flat mirror cut to fit and stick it on with araldite

two solutions, One www.car-parts.com or go to glass shop and see if they can repair it.

If the metal pivot arm is not broken you can just replace the glass and plastic housing. To remove the glass you tilt the glass down towards the floor and use a wide plastic or wood bladed object to prise from behind, the glass should pop off from its clips. Remember to catch it if its not damaged. To remove the housing once the glass is out you need to look underneath the mirror unit, there you will find a small plastic bung, gently prise it out and then use a long small flat bladed screwdriver straight up inside the hole and lever towards the front of the car whilst lifting straight up on the plastic housing, this should then lift off. To replace just slot the new housing on and click into place then fit the glass back, remember to connect the wires first if it is a heated glass.
If the metal pivot arm is broken then you will find the remaining screws behind the plastic trim inside the vehicle.
