Dash is actibg up

Have you tried the dash dimmer switch? Check the owners manual to locate the switch. It should roll up to your desired brightness as it is rolled down to dim it will eventually darken the whole dashboard.

Check battery and fuses.

the dash?
or a real gauge , at the block, port. (gallery)

you must learn 2 things, about dash gauges

1. they are not really instruments. not even close, more toy like.
2. and some return to zero others do NOT.

many cars made, you key off and the gauges, freeze.
this is nothing new and is normal.

use the scan tool yet and look for DTC errors from the cluster?
in any event.
id concerned about engine oil pressure , try a real gauge.
if concerned about just the dash gunge?, then scan it first. then do the self tests shown in the FSM.

this car the PCM sense oil pressure data via the PCI bus
to the cluster and then it displays this data.
im not sure which years return to zero.
the PCM gets its DATA from the oil pressure sender.
if the pCM shows the data to bee good using a scan tool
then we check for errors on the PCI buss. if that is good
the display is bad, if the data is wrong. there.

The pcm is exposed to the battery at all times. You might see if you can get a used pcm at the salvage yard.

check the voltage output from the alternator

Weak battery or bad starter solenoid , jump starter solenoid to test with key in on position

Tach spring is breaking, you can get a seperate tach gauge in place of what you got. or how about this take dash out and get another tach gauge they are removable

the best bet is to go to the started and check to see the signal wire is getting current when you try to crank it, if not you locate the signal wire on the starter which is the small wire and jump it with power, if it is not doing anything then your starter is bad. if it turns then your problem is somewhere else.

take back to dealer if warrent is still good. may need to replace computer.

On thedash of my 2003 sedan sebring ,My dash ilumination lights for the speed,temp,tack\rpm and fuel are unlit.
I found that there is a paper thin plastic across and behind all four of these gauges which lights up all four gauges,if working correctly, There is a very poor connection to this thin film lighting system ,basicaly a wire terminal used as a staple and that very well could be your problem.
It as far as I know would require whole gauge assembly replacement! because dealers dont sell such small portions of some assemblies!
I myself will attempt to crimp this poor connection on my car without damaging thin film! there are no bulbs for those four gauges too iluminate!
