This is caused by the forward clutch pack in the trans being worn out, if u pull the service pan u will find it full of what looks like mud, in any event u will need to overhaul or install a rebuilt/remanufactured transmission

I have z 2001 honda four trax 350. I had to take it all apart to fix a problem with not shifting so after I fixed it and put it all back together now my gears are messed up reverse is neutral and I have no...

I would say that one or more of the shifter selectors have been put back in the wrong position on the gearbox. I remember years ago on an old Holden mixing them up. The gears were stuck in neutral and reverse at the same time. You may have to play with the shifters to get them in the correct spot.

Adjust switch gear selector

5speed A/T
this car warns you of tranny errros, 2 ways.
flashing D selector (some years)
1996 and newer, most...switch to this way.
and with a scan tool shows DTC errors. P07xx (vast numbers)
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAN BE ON, RUNNING?
and can show tranny failures. but scanning is best.
some countries mask tranny errors.. not USA. (loc, not stated)
in your car the PCM shifts the tranny , not you.
the PCM can in fact go to limphome for the tranny.
and can skip gears.
if a tranny input sensor is faulting the PCM (OBD2) scan will find this error,
so scan it.
be advised, most Autozoned, stores can NOT scan for the HONDA DTCs custom to HONDA. P1 or P2 codes.
they can do P0xxx codes, mostly and are blind. mostly.
use a real tool to scan it.

2005 honda rincon wont move

Check transmission fluid level. If it's ok need to have trans fluid pressure checked. Need schematic, but should be a port on the side of trans for this. If to in depth then take it to a repair shop. Could just have a clogged trans filter.

WHat are the transmission fault codes for the 200 S-Type PO734 and PO741 mean?

I am having problems with the drive gear it seems like its not going into gear. It drives fine when Im shifting it in 2,3rd and 4th gear. I have had the gearbox function light came on then will reset its self. I was having the check engine light on and skips between 40 and 60? Its a 2000 S type 8v with 61,000 miles! Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Rough shifting automatic transmission on Honda Accord from 1st to 2nd gear

it has a problem with the second gear drum it cracks and does not fully engauge the n shifts to 3rd ..many honda owners also learn the 8 bucks a quart is the only fluid to pour in a honda..but remember 3 qaurts per drain and fill the tranny holds 7q ....it will take a case to do a drain flush...a high pressure flush will ruin a automatic tranny with alot of miles or metal deposits floating around inside..DRAIN AND FILL 3 QUARTS AT A TIME NO GASKET NEEDED ITS BUILT AND DESIGNED LIKE A MANUAL TRANNY

Slippy Tranny

Had the same problem. had the soiniod body changedbeginning of winter. Tranny shift Smoother but problem can back the next spring but less often then before.

Noticed that it was happening on hot day and after driving no more than an hour. Noticed that it was happening also in stop and go traffic.

Sometimes just putting the Tranny at Park and stopping the engine on a RED light fixes the problem.

I haven't gone back to the Tranny Shop.
