The break lights are not working on my 1984 Ford Mustang 5.0. Where is the brake light fuse located?

Turn signal tail lights and BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb. First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

For turn signal not working it can be faulty turn signal switch or its issue with wiring:----

Do they keep blowing when you add a new one? If not, the break lights may out due to your break switch. It is a chrome looking cylinder above your break pedal. The pedal actually hits this, the stem of it.

check make sure your getting power back to bulb if not look for breaks in electrical wires

Fuse panel is under the dash also as I have found with my own graceful daughter, there is a brake light switch that connects to the brake pedal itself. It is hard to get to and even harder to see but a lot of times these switches get bumped and they can not make connection when the brake pedal is depressed. Hope this helps

have you tried replacing the bulb

I'm not that familiar with this model, but it sounds like either a brake light fuse or the brake pedal switch could be the problem.

9 times out of 10 its the brake switch located under the drivers side dash behind the brake peddle arm. However check the brake light fuses first.

get a manuel from an auto parts store. in this manuel it will have etm(electrical troubleshooting manuel) it shows the brake lights and wires colors of wires. trace the wire color from the fuse using the diagram. purchase a test light from wal mart to see if your wire has power. if it does there may be a bad connection or component but hte etm shoud show you what components are on the circuit.any questions email me at [email protected]
