You are low on oil, or your oil is too old. Check oil in the motor when the car has been sitting for at least two hours. The light usually doesn't flash until you are more than 2 quarts low. Change your oil.
1st, do not drive this until you are sure the oil pressure is ok, have the pressure verified with a mechanical test gauge, if it is ok the sending unit for the electric gauge is likely defective.
Low oil, bad sensor, really low idle.
First check oil level.
then if oil level is ok, and oil light is still there, pay attention to idle has to be 750 to 850 RPM.
If idle ok, give gas to increase idle to more than 2000 rpm if light goes away you need a sensor called OIL PRESSURE SWITCH.
Have the sender checked. I believe there was a bulletin about this. have a repair shop research it. Its not a good idea to drive it when the light is on. Engine damage will result.
