SOURCE: how to tighten my 306 dt 98 fan belt

you need to take off the drivers front wheel and plastic cover infront of the engine.
then you need to crack off two allen key type bolts holding the braket and tensioner pully in place, that is positioned just right of the crankshaft pully. Once the whole unit is slack you have to loosen the adjuster that is visible underneath the tensioner braket to take the tension off the belt. Once the belt is loose enough take it off and reverse process avoiding overtightening new belt. [It needs a little give to avoid damging bearings in the pully]

SOURCE: no power at heater fan fuse is there a relay peugeot 406

406 is prone to damaged internal contacts in the ignition key barrel, one of the cables there supplies power to the heater blowers. What happens is there is a large supporting clip that takes the weight of the bundle of cables from the ignition barrel, this becomes loose or fails and allows the weight of the bundle to hang on the back of the barrel, the end result is loss of supply to various systems as well as damage to the key barrel itself. Drop the under steering kick pannel and try a wiggle of the bundle while you have everything switched on and the engine running, if you get intermittant blowers running you have found the fault!

We have a 2002 Chevy Malibu.. And the fans want run to keep the motor cool.. When the motor get too hot the car will shut off.. So, what do I do about it??

First check fuses, there are two fans if fitted with air con. The air con. fan only comes on with the air con. The engine radiator cooling fan comes on at operation tem., it is controlled by a censer switch on the radiator .If there is power to the switch and the switch is OK the fan motor is at fault.

LOCATION OF FAN RELAY 2004 COROLLA 1.8

Hi Miguel, The relay for the radiator fan is located in the fuse holder and those for the air con, usually in a separate holder close to the main holder. To check the operation of the radiator fan, disconnect the cable from the sensor switch fitted onto the lower tank of the radiator. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine and check the fan is working. If it works and not when the temperature requires it to, the sensor switch is defective and needs replacement. Regards John

My VW polo radiator does not come on when the engine reaches normal engine temperature i check all the fuse in the holder thy all seem to be ok, There is all so no current going to radiator fan switch...

The thing that you are bridging is called a fan relay.
you need to replace that,in the meantime you can bypass the relay by attaching the wires together.
If you need to see if the fan is working without waiting for the engine to warm up, just flip on your air conditioner which will in turn start the fan cooling system right away.

You may have freon in system but compressor won't engage unless it's full under pressure. By jumping the the relay you're doing damage to compressor by running on low pressure. Have system evacuated and recharged to proper amount of freon - usually 4 lbs of freon

A lot of this could have contributed to the radiator not working.. and you have already mentioned some of them. it could be the fuse or the relay or the wiring of the fan or the fan itself..

the fuse issue is easy to fix. identify the fuse box, open the lid and look on the inside for the specific fuse for the fan on the schematic there.

replace the fuse with a spare..

If the fan still does not work, approach your mechanic to check any of the other causes of the fan not working..

My 2002 audi a3 1.9 tdi is overheating? I have

If your cooling fan is not working you solved your own problem. The cooling fan is what helps your radiator perform its function. The radiator cools down the antifreeze mixture by separating it into small tubes separated by air fins, the fins allow a greater surface area for air. The radiators main function is to dissipate heat into the surrounding atmosphere which it can do well at highway speeds without a fan, but most modern cars need a cooling fan to help pull air across the radiator.
The wiring diagram for your vehicle suggests that there is a 5 amp fuse 4 and a 40 amp fuse 42 that run the radiator fan and control which should be located in an under hood fuse/relay box. Check them with a test light on both sides, with the light to ground you should see a positive voltage at both sides. the 40 amp would most likely be a maxi fuse, or a larger size then the regular atm fuse for the 5 amp,
