SOURCE: Rear wiper Ford Explorer 1998 won't work.

Look for the fuse for the rear wiper motor is a 15 amp mini-fuse , in location # 8 of your POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX in the engine compartment. Check in the PD BOX for; - relay # 8 is the rear wiper down relay , and - relay # 10 is the rear wiper up relay .

How to replace wiper motor

The procedure is a bit complicated - the wiper assembly is below the air intake grill at the bottom of the windshield. You need to remove the wipers, the grill cover, the windshield lower retaining frame, the motor retaining bolts, and so on. Best bet is to get a workshop manual for the car for details.

No power to the wiper motor. fuses checked out ok.

check the main wiring to the wiper motor. a fusable link is embedded in the wiper wiring. if burnt out no power will be applied to the fuse or switch
