Winsheild wipers winshield wipers seem to have a mind of their own, come on when no rain, won't budge when it 's pouring.,, need to locate the sensor,locate the wiper motor, and check to see if the motor is getting power,

Where the wiper arm goes on the pivot it is a spline with a little clip to hold it on I think the clip let loose and the moved up and the arm slipping on the spline Try pushing it back down

either the start stop relay is goosed or the wiper censor has gone also could be the controll stalk on the steering wheel part

try changing the wiper relay first and check out the fuses if all is good then the motor itself may have seized or the worm drive may be worn or broken check the toothed spline where the wiper blade attaches the splines may be smooth or broken which will stop the blades moving back and forth

have you checked the fuse and relay.

you maybe right. check the air vents outside of the vehicle under the windshield wipers, also check the rubber seals around the passenger door, and window.

The wiper arm probably loosened up from where it's attached to the splined drive. Try to tighten the nut that holds the wiper to the splined drive that the arm mounts on to.

check the grounds for the wiper motor

it could be the wiper relay or the wiper motor could be heating up and stoping causing it to work again when it cools down either case start with relay and if that does not fix the problem replase the wiper motor

you will need to chage the relay for the washer wipe once cycle

Does the wiper still make noise like it is trying to go? If so open the cap where is attached and tighten the nut on the wiper. If does not make noise you will need a wiper motor.
